A leading International Jewellery group is looking for:


Position: Senior Manager (Accounts & Finance Department)

Location: Thrissur, Kerala

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant

Experience: CA with 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts, Audit and Taxation in Indian Practice

Salary budget: Up to 12lpa + statutory benefits

PREAMBLE

Senior Manager will co-ordinate, support and assist the Group CFO for timely delivery and updating to the Management & stakeholders related to financial and accounting statements of the group. Management and administration of the accounts department, procedures, programs and help co-ordinate the day-to-day accounting process of entire jewellery group in India as per the accounting policies. The incumbent, under the directions and supervision of CFO, has the ongoing accountability to develop best in class people practices for the continuous improvement and development of Group.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Leadership, Team Development & Capability Building

Key Performance Indicators - KPI


1. Accounts Finalization, Consolidation & Financial Reporting

· Manage and oversee the daily operation of the accounting department across the jewelry division and other entities.

· Monitor and analyze accounting data and preparation of financial statements in compliance with AS/Ind AS in coordination with Audit team and External auditors.

· Furnish and present financial information at Board/Review Meetings.

· Enforce robust accounting methods, controls, and policies to ensure accuracy and consistency across the group.


2. Audit Management & Statutory filings

· Lead the end-to-end annual audit cycle, ensuring completion within statutory deadlines.

· Act as the primary liaison with statutory auditors and coordinate timely fulfilment of all audit requirements.

· Resolve audit queries, provide supporting documentation, and ensure smooth closure.

· Coordinate with the Company Secretary department to ensure accurate and timely MCA filings.


3. Direct and Indirect Tax related compliances

· Oversee accurate and timely filing of all statutory returns including TDS and GST in coordination with various departments.

· Oversee statutory compliances w.r.t daily payments in co-ordination with payment staff and providing clarifications where necessary.

· Ensure timely payments of statutory obligations including EPF, ESI, TDS, and GST.

· Provide tax planning support and ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks in collaboration with CS and Legal departments.


4. Departmental Liaison & Regulatory Engagements

· Act as the primary point of contact with key regulatory bodies including Income Tax, GST departments, and any other statutory bodies as required.

· Prepare responses and supporting documents for assessments, investigations, and inquiries in coordination with auditors/consultants.

· Ensure timely closure of statutory notices and keep management updated.


5. Leadership, Team Development & Capability Building

· Provide strategic financial and regulatory advisory to diverse group entities spanning multiple industries— Jewellery, tours & travel, textiles, real estate, restaurants, ecommerce, and more.

· Lead recruitment, performance evaluations, and capability development initiatives in coordination with the HR Department.

· Conduct training programs, issue internal circulars, and promote financial literacy among managerial and accounting staff.

· Identify pain points in existing processes and suggest solutions to increase process efficiency.


6. Special Projects & Business Expansion

· Prepare projections for existing/proposed business verticals as instructed by the CFO

· Oversee finance setup for new business verticals including statutory registrations, process implementation, and operational handover.

· Support staff of new operations with statutory and regulatory advisories.

· Handle any additional responsibilities assigned by the Group CFO or senior management.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES

· Strong command of Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, Ind AS, and GAAP. Knowledge of other economic laws shall be a bonus.

· Excellent analytical, managerial, and interpersonal skills.

· Superior organizational ability, with expert knowledge and experience to assume leadership position.

· Expert knowledge of MS Excel, Tally ERP/Prime understanding of technology to guide implementation.

· Strong stakeholder management, including auditors, government authorities, and cross functional leaders.

· Top Down – Assistant Managers, Sr. Accountant, Accountant & Trainees
