Roles & Responsibilities:
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
HR professional to join our team as a Senior Executive - Payroll at our Kochi
location. The ideal candidate will possess a Post-Graduate degree in Human
Resources and bring 3 to 4 years of robust, hands-on experience managing
end-to-end Indian payroll operations and statutory compliances.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Processing & Administration
- Manage the end-to-end
monthly payroll cycle for all employees accurately and within defined
timelines.
- Gather and validate
payroll inputs, including attendance records, leaves, overtime,
incentives, and new joiner/separation data.
- Compute gross salaries,
deductions, variables, net pay, and process accurate Full & Final
(F&F) settlements for separated employees.
- Collaborate with banks
to ensure timely disbursement of monthly salaries and coordinate with the
finance team for financial alignment.
2. Statutory Compliance & Tax Management
- Ensure 100% compliance
with all relevant Indian labor laws and statutory regulations, including
Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax
(PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).
- Prepare, verify, and
file timely monthly challans and returns for PF, ESI, and PT.
- Manage employee
investment declarations, verify tax-saving proofs, compute accurate Tax
Deducted at Source (TDS), and oversee annual tax projections.
- Assist in the quarterly
filing of TDS returns (Form 24Q) and generation of annual Form 16 for
employees.
3. Employee Grievance Redressal & Support
- Serve as the primary
point of contact for employee queries regarding salary structures, monthly
payouts, deductions, tax computations, and Form 16.
- Resolve payroll
discrepancies and grievances swiftly, ensuring a high level of employee
satisfaction.
4. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date and
highly confidential employee master data in the HRMS/Payroll software.
- Generate monthly payroll
registers, reconciliation statements, bank transfer advice, and Journal
Voucher (JV) data for the accounting team.
- Prepare comprehensive
regular and ad-hoc Management Information System (MIS) reports for
management review.
- Facilitate data and
documentation requirements for internal, external, and statutory payroll
audits
