Position Overview
The Manager – E-Commerce UAE will be responsible for driving the overall growth, revenue, profitability, and operational performance of the company's E-commerce business in the UAE market. The role will oversee marketplace operations, D2C/e-commerce channels, product assortment, pricing, promotions, inventory, catalogue management, marketing investments, and marketplace relationships. The Manager will lead the Assistant Manager and E-commerce Executives and ensure effective execution of the overall E-commerce strategy. The role will also work closely with Category, Marketing, Finance, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure availability, visibility, competitiveness, and profitable growth across E-commerce channels.
Major Functions
1. E-Commerce Business & Revenue Management
• Develop and execute the E-commerce business strategy for the UAE market in line with overall business objectives.
• Own the sales, revenue, profitability, and growth targets for the UAE E-commerce business.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual E-commerce business plans and monitor achievement against targets.
• Analyse sales trends, market conditions, consumer behaviour, and marketplace performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Drive category and SKU-level growth through assortment, pricing, promotions, visibility, and inventory interventions.
• Identify new marketplace and online business opportunities to expand the company's digital presence.
2. Marketplace Management
• Oversee operations across assigned marketplaces such as Amazon UAE, Noon, Carrefour, Trendyol, and other relevant platforms.
• Develop strong working relationships with marketplace account/category teams and negotiate business opportunities.
• Monitor marketplace performance, seller health, account metrics, catalogue issues, fulfilment performance, and customer experience.
• Ensure timely resolution of marketplace-related operational, commercial, catalogue, and account issues.
• Review marketplace business plans, campaigns, visibility opportunities, and commercial proposals.
3. Product & Catalogue Management
• Oversee product assortment and SKU selection across E-commerce channels.
• Monitor product catalogue quality, including titles, descriptions, specifications, images, keywords, attributes, and other content.
• Ensure resolution of suppressed listings, catalogue errors, content issues, and product mapping discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Category and Marketing teams for new product launches and online assortment planning.
• Analyse SKU performance and recommend additions, deletions, or assortment changes based on sales and market potential.
4. Pricing, Promotions & Commercial Management
• Develop and monitor E-commerce pricing strategies in coordination with Category and Management teams.
• Track competitor pricing and marketplace price movements regularly.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, discounts, deals, and marketplace events.
• Monitor promotion performance and evaluate the impact on sales, margins, and profitability.
• Ensure pricing competitiveness while protecting category margins and overall profitability.
• Review and approve pricing/promotion interventions within the defined authority limits.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
• Ensure optimum inventory availability across E-commerce channels.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Category, and Finance teams for stock planning and replenishment.
• Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving SKUs and initiate corrective actions.
• Analyse stock cover, sell-through, ageing inventory, and stock-out situations.
• Ensure timely replenishment to avoid lost sales due to stock unavailability.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth order fulfilment, returns, cancellations, and inventory reconciliation.
6. E-Commerce Marketing & Visibility
• Plan and monitor E-commerce marketing activities in coordination with the Marketing team and marketplace partners.
• Manage and monitor digital advertising budgets and marketplace marketing spends.
• Evaluate campaign performance, traffic, conversion, ROAS, and overall marketing ROI.
• Identify opportunities for sponsored listings, banner placements, marketplace campaigns, seasonal events, and other visibility initiatives.
• Ensure marketing investments are aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
7. Team Management
• Lead, guide, and monitor the Assistant Manager – E-Commerce and E-commerce Executives.
• Allocate responsibilities and ensure effective utilization of team resources.
• Set individual and team targets and monitor performance regularly.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Ensure timely execution of marketplace operations, catalogue management, pricing, inventory, promotions, and reporting activities.
• Build a high-performance E-commerce team with clear ownership and accountability.
8. Business Analytics & Reporting
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly E-commerce performance across sales, orders, traffic, conversion, inventory, returns, and profitability.
• Prepare and review business performance reports and dashboards for management.
• Analyse marketplace and SKU-level performance and identify key trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Track KPIs such as GMV, revenue, margin, conversion rate, ROAS, inventory turnover, stock availability, return rate, and marketplace growth.
• Present business reviews and action plans to senior management.
9. Cross-functional Coordination
• Act as the key E-commerce business representative for coordination with Category, Marketing, Finance, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Sales, and other departments.
• Ensure timely communication of E-commerce requirements and business priorities to relevant teams.
• Coordinate with Finance on collections, marketplace settlements, claims, deductions, and reconciliations.
• Work with Warehouse and Operations teams to improve order fulfilment and customer experience.
• Coordinate with Category teams on assortment, pricing, new product launches, and stock planning.

1. E-Commerce Revenue & Business Growth: Drive achievement of UAE E-commerce revenue, GMV, profitability, and growth targets.
2. Marketplace & Category Performance: Improve marketplace presence, SKU performance, assortment, pricing competitiveness, and category growth.
3. Inventory & Operational Efficiency: Ensure optimum stock availability, efficient fulfilment, and effective management of returns, cancellations, and inventory ageing.
