Job Title: Senior Purchase Specialist – Luxury Jewelry
Base Location: Thrissur, Kerala
Travel Requirements: Extensive domestic and international travel (accompanying the Company Chairman to major jewellery exhibitions).
Salary: As per industry standards (commensurate with experience).

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of proven experience in high-value jewellery purchasing, specifically with a track record of buying at large-scale trade exhibitions.
• Product Expertise: Deep understanding of Indian and international jewellery markets, including antique, bridal, contemporary diamond, and gemstone jewellery.
• Certifications: Professional certification in Gemology or Diamond Grading (e.g., GIA, IGI) is highly preferred.
• Mobility: Absolute willingness to travel frequently and at short notice, maintaining flexibility to match the Chairman’s itinerary.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, mathematical calculation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Languages: Proficiency in Malayalam and English is required; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is a distinct advantage.

We are seeking a highly experienced and discerning Jewellery Purchase Specialist to join a leading jewellery group in Thrissur. In this high-profile role, you will work directly alongside the Company Chairman, traveling to premium national and international jewellery exhibitions to source, evaluate, and acquire high-end jewellery.

Key Responsibilities

• Exhibition Procurement: Travel extensively with the Chairman to major trade shows to source exclusive collections.
• Product Evaluation: Inspect and assess the quality, craftsmanship, purity, and authenticity of gold, diamond, platinum, and precious gemstone jewellery on-site.
• Trend Forecasting: Identify emerging market trends, unique designs, and consumer preferences during exhibitions to keep our inventory ahead of the competition.
• Vendor & Network Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with premium manufacturers, wholesalers, and independent designers globally.
• Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules directly with exhibitors to maximize profit margins.
• Post-Exhibition Coordination: Oversee the secure transit, logistics, inventory logging, and quality check of items purchased during high-value exhibition trips.
