Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead the procurement team, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish strong relationships to ensure a diverse and reliable vendor base.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and conditions.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of goods and services to make informed procurement decisions and optimize cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including departments such as finance, operations, and quality assurance, to understand their procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Implement and utilize procurement software and systems to streamline processes, track inventory, and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers to assess their performance, address any issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to procurement, and incorporate them into procurement strategies and practices.
